EPIPHONE USA TEXAN ACOUSTIC GUITAR

The new Epiphone Texan is part of the Epiphone original collection built-in Bozeman Montana by Gibson acoustic. The Epiphone Texan was first introduced in 1958 (was made in Kalamazoo Michigan at the Gibson Factory) and became extremely popular right away. It’s been played by players like Paul McCartney and John Lennon to mention just a few. Epiphone at that time was actually one of Gibson’s biggest rivals up until Gibson had purchased the company. People are looking for the old ones that were made in Kalamazoo and their collectability is over the tops. That’s the reason why they have decided to bring this back and build it in Bozeman Montana as part of the new original collection.

The slopes shoulder is like a Gibson j45. It does have the mahogany back, sides and neck, solid Spruce top for a warm tone with plenty of harmonic richness. Compared to the old one there is a structural difference. It is the long scale fingerboard which gives a little more drive and clarity. This guitar features all the attributes of the Gibson Montana made acoustic guitars including a hot hi glued up to the neck joint, gloss nitro lacquer finish, a dome top of scalloped bracing and just all the cool things that made this guitar so incredible in 1958. It’s loud, Warm rich, comes with an LR baggs VTC pickup systems which provide excellent tonal recreation through an amp or PA system. Just a great throwback piece to a time when Epiphone was a bigger company than Gibson. The Epiphone Texan is available in vintage sunburst or a natural finish guitar. for every player got to try these new level.
